The challenge
In order to drive forward the transformation to a data-driven company, it was necessary to enable the specialist departments to carry out self-service analyses. To do this, the existing enterprise environment with 600 users and a large number of reporting solutions had to be migrated from QlikView to the Qlik Sense platform.
My solution
The successful migration to Qlik Sense was ensured by the following steps:
- Survey of technical and organizational requirements with management, specialist department and IT
- Conception of the TO-BE architecture for the new Qlik Sense Enterprise environment
- Creation of a component migration matrix with prioritization and evaluation of the migration effort
- Definition of a migration roadmap for the iterative transition and temporary dual operation of QlikView and QlikSense
- Development of a catalog of measures for migration implementation
- Technical support for the migration process
